How to Add a Button to Notion
A Notion link is blue text, which is fine inside a paragraph and not enough on a public page where a visitor has to be told where to go next. The button widget gives you the real thing: label, background colour, text colour, corner radius, alignment and destination, plus a pop up option if you want the link opening in a small window rather than a new tab.
Placement
Centre it by embedding it in a middle column, or by setting the widget narrower than the block it sits in. Notion will not centre an embed for you.
When the settings will not reach
Brand work is where this bites. Draw the button and use the image widget instead: a PNG with a link on it is a button in every way a visitor cares about. Odd shapes, gradients, a hand drawn look, a photo of your product that clicks through. The route is in make your own Notion widget.
The trade
A drawn button cannot change its label without a new picture. The button widget can, in about five seconds. Pick per use rather than per preference.

Buttons and support load
The measurable benefit of a button is fewer questions. Every team and every template has one link people keep asking about, and making it obvious removes a recurring interruption rather than saving a few seconds once.
On a public page it does something similar for visitors: a clear next step reduces the number who leave without doing the thing the page existed for. That is the whole claim, and it is more than most decorative widgets can make.
One button per page section is the usual advice and it holds here. Two buttons side by side split the decision, and three means the page has not decided what it wants the visitor to do.
