How to Add Weather to Notion
No weather widget from us, and the question really splits in two. If you want live weather you need a live source, which means an external service with an embeddable page, and any of those work inside Notion. If you only want a dashboard that looks like it has weather on it, an icon or a small illustration does the job for a fraction of the load time.
Using an external weather embed
Two things to check before settling on one. Whether it guesses location from the viewer's connection, which is fine on a personal dashboard and odd on a public page where every visitor sees their own city instead of yours. And whether it expires, since free weather embeds have a habit of turning into an advert after a few months.
The cheap version
A sun or cloud from the icon widget, or a small illustration as a transparent PNG in the image widget, next to a text widget showing the live date with (day) (month). It does not know the weather. It also does not load half a megabyte of scripts to tell you something you can see out of the window.
The load time argument
Weather embeds are among the heaviest things people put on a dashboard. If yours got slow, start there. Do widgets slow Notion down covers the rest.
Want a real one from us? Tag @theplusso on X, or use Suggest a New Widget in the dashboard. Weather sits high on the asked for list.
Where to find one meanwhile
Weather is one of the widgets Indify and Apption are known for, so if it is the piece you cannot do without, either is a shorter path than waiting for us. Nothing stops you mixing providers on one page: Notion does not care whose embed it is loading, and plenty of dashboards run two or three at once.
The only real cost of mixing is that you now have two places to check when something goes blank.
