Who is Jason Werner?
Founder, Super (super.so). Known for building Super, the product that put Notion pages on real domains in April 2020 and started the Notion website niche.
This page recognises Jason Werner for what they have contributed to the Notion community. It is written independently, it is not an endorsement, and it does not mean they use thePlus.so.

This page walks through what Werner shipped and when, using his own posts and Super's own launch record, including what he wrote publicly the morning Notion Sites arrived. It does not review the product, compare it to other Notion website tools, or quote current plan prices.
In November 2017 Jason Werner put a mobile cryptocurrency portfolio app called Cosmo on Product Hunt. Two months later came CryptoFighters, a collectible battling game he describes on his own site as an early adopter of ERC721 tokens. Neither is the reason his name comes up in Notion circles.
The turn was a gap in Notion. You could publish a page to the web, but you could not put it on a domain you owned. The workaround at the time was to deploy a Cloudflare worker and babysit it. Werner built a product that did the job without any of that and launched Super 1.0 on Product Hunt on 30 April 2020, where it finished first for the day.
Four more launches followed: Super 2.0 in June 2021, the Super Builder in October 2021, Super 3.0 in March 2023, Super Builder 2.0 in April 2025. He still signs Super's announcements as Founder, and his own site at trxrg.com carries a "Made with Super" badge in the footer.
He was shipping crypto apps while learning to ship anything
His Product Hunt account dates to November 2016. The two products on it before Super are Cosmo, an early mobile crypto portfolio app from November 2017, and CryptoFighters from January 2018, built on ERC721 when the token standard was months old. The leftovers are still on his GitHub: expo-eth-wallet, an Ethereum and ERC20 wallet built with Expo, sits pinned next to his personal site repo. His GitHub bio calls him a full stack developer who likes making beautiful and useful products, which is a modest description of somebody who was writing NFT contracts in 2017.
Notion would not sell you a domain, so he did
Werner has been direct about where Super came from. Writing on Super's blog, he said the absence of custom domain support in Notion "is what inspired the creation of Super over 4 years ago." The pitch was small enough to explain in a sentence: paste the URL of a Notion page into Super, and it finds the subpages and builds a site. Super 1.0 took first place on Product Hunt for 30 April 2020. The releases after that pushed past the original trick, and each one placed near the top of its day: Super 2.0 on 17 June 2021 finished fourth, the Super Builder on 8 October 2021 finished fifth, Super 3.0 on 15 March 2023 finished third. Along the way Super added page path controls, navigation options, custom code injection, themes and its own analytics.
25 June 2024: Notion shipped his first feature
Notion 2.42 introduced Notion Sites, with custom domains built into the product. That is the exact thing Super had existed to provide. Werner published a post on Super's blog the same day, signed "Jason Werner, Founder", and made no attempt to dodge it. Notion, he wrote, "now supports Super's very first feature natively and what started the Notion website niche", meaning custom domains. His public read on it: "This new release from Notion has shown us we are on the right track and will expand the market for Super." He called Notion Sites a good option for a simple and limited Notion website, and put Super's case on control and customisation for people who wanted more. Founders usually publish that post through a comms filter. This one reads like he wrote it himself, because he did.
The newest thing he built costs nothing to use
Super Builder 2.0 arrived on Product Hunt on 16 April 2025. It is a free Notion template that turns a Notion page into a drag and drop layout tool: more than 60 pre-built components covering hero sections, pricing cards, FAQ blocks, galleries, testimonials and ecommerce elements, plus six component based themes named Breezy, Glimpse, Cacti, Lunar, Notive and Basket. The themes style components without locking the layout, so you keep editing in Notion. On the Notion template marketplace it is listed under the Super account at no cost, rated 4.85 across 67 reviews. The template is free, hosting a site on a Super subdomain is free, and the paywall only appears when you want your own domain on it.
Why Jason Werner is on this list
For four years, if somebody in the Notion community wanted a Notion page to live at their own address with fast loads and real SEO control, Werner's product was how they did it. A large share of the Notion sites people cite as proof that Notion can be a website were published through Super. Super Builder then handed the Notion community a free component library that works inside Notion itself, which lowered the bar for anyone who did not want to touch CSS.
