Indify.co is one of the oldest and best known widget tools for Notion, and it has earned that. The widgets look good and they set up cleanly. Where people get caught out is the pricing model.

Indify.co bills per widget. The free plan gives you six. After that, each Pro widget is charged on its own: Google Calendar Pro is $4 a month, Gallery Pro is $4, Outlook Calendar Pro is $6, Weather Pro is $8. The Creator plan at $8 a month lifts the six widget cap and includes one Pro upgrade of your choice. A second upgrade is still an extra line on the bill.

thePlus.so works the other way round. One price unlocks everything: $6 a month, or $60 a year which comes to about $5 a month, covering unlimited widgets with every feature on. There is no per widget tier to climb.

The second widget is where the models split

For exactly one Pro widget, Indify.co is cheaper than we are: $4 a month against $6, and we would sooner say that than pretend otherwise. The moment you want a second one the maths inverts. Two Pro widgets on Indify.co means the $8 Creator plan plus a separate upgrade for the second, because Creator only carries one. On thePlus.so the second widget costs nothing extra, and neither does the tenth. Most people who build a Notion dashboard do not stop at one widget, which is why our price covers the whole dashboard.

A flat price means you can experiment

Per widget billing quietly discourages trying things. Every new widget becomes a decision about money, so you end up rationing yourself. When the price is flat, adding a widget to see whether it earns its place costs nothing but a minute. You can see the difference in what people build: our users tend to run five or six small widgets across a workspace.

Type is a first class control here

Indify.co gives you light and dark styles with basic typography and sizing. That covers most needs and it keeps their editor simple. We went the other way and made type the point: all 1,500+ Google Fonts are available on every plan, including free. If you are trying to make a Notion page look like it belongs to your brand, the font is usually what gives a widget away.

Where Indify.co is the better pick

A comparison page that only flatters its author is not worth reading. Here is the honest side.

  • Indify.co has been around far longer and has a bigger widget catalogue than we do.
  • Their Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar widgets are strong. If a live calendar embed is the one thing you need, they do it well.
  • Six free widgets is a more generous free tier than our two.
  • Every Pro widget comes with a 3 day free trial, so you can test before paying.

Questions

Is Indify.co more expensive than thePlus.so?

It depends on how many premium widgets you need. For one, Indify.co is cheaper: $4 a month against our $6. For two or more, thePlus.so costs less, because our price does not move when you add widgets and theirs does. Indify.co Creator is $8 a month for unlimited widgets and includes one Pro upgrade.

Can I move my Indify.co widgets to thePlus.so?

There is no automatic importer, because the two tools store widgets differently. In practice you rebuild them, which takes a couple of minutes each. Start free, rebuild the one you use most, and pay only once you are happy with how it looks.

Will my Notion page break while I switch?

No. Notion embeds are just URLs. Build the thePlus.so widget first, copy its embed link, then swap the URL in your Notion block. The old embed keeps working right up until you replace it.

Does thePlus.so have a free plan like the six widgets on Indify.co?

Ours is smaller: 2 widgets, with Image, Text and Announcement types, 1,500+ Google Fonts, 5 MB uploads and basic analytics. Indify.co is more generous on count, and we would sooner say so than dress it up.

Try it before you decide
