What is worth understanding is where the money comes from. Nodi.so is a two person Notion studio run by Illia Korchahin and Yehor Klymenchuk, and it sells templates, listed as Productivity OS at $29, Project Management at $35, Development OS at $39, Getting Things Done at $14 and Workout Tracker at $4, alongside a consulting service you book by call. The eight widgets (Pomodoro, Weather, Calendar, Countdown, Analog Clock, Life Progress, Quotes and Password Generator) are the front door to that shop.
thePlus.so has no shop behind it. Widgets are the entire company: unlimited Image, Text and Announcement widgets for $6 a month, $60 a year, or $149 paid once. The catalogues also point in opposite directions, since Nodi.so builds gadgets that display a time or a number, and we build the content on the page.
A free widget is somebody's marketing budget
When a widget costs nothing, someone is still paying for the servers, and it is worth knowing who and why. At Nodi.so the widgets bring people to a template shop and a consulting calendar, which is a legitimate and very common model. It also means the widgets get judged on how many templates they sell. If that stops working, or if consulting fills two founders' calendars, the free widget catalogue is the line item with the weakest case for staying. thePlus.so carries the opposite exposure: our embeds are the whole product, so an outage is not an inconvenience for us, it is the business failing. Neither arrangement is a promise about the future. It only tells you what each company loses on the day a widget goes dark.
Eight gadgets, and nowhere to put your own words

Every one of them displays a time, a number or a line of somebody else's text. There is no image widget, no text widget, no announcement bar, and no font control on any of them. A lot of dashboards want both, and running the two together costs you nothing extra.
A small studio wearing several hats at once
Nodi.so used to be Notionism.org. The rebrand is mostly finished, though the widget assets still come from a server named after the old brand and some setup instructions still tell you to log in to your Notionism account. Two people running templates, consulting and a widget catalogue will have loose ends, and this is a mild one. The part with real consequences is that there is no status page and no stated uptime commitment on the widgets, so when an embed stops rendering you have no way to tell whether the problem is yours or theirs. We publish live uptime at /uptime and live revenue at /open, which is the only reason we think we are allowed to raise it.

Yes, and for most dashboards that is the sensible answer. Their Pomodoro and Life Progress widgets sit happily next to our header image and announcement strip. The two catalogues do not overlap at any point, so nothing conflicts.
Should I buy a Nodi.so template?
