How to Publish a Notion Page

Open the page, hit Share in the top right, and turn on publishing to the web. Notion hands you a URL and the page is live. The settings underneath that toggle matter more than they look, particularly search engine indexing and whether visitors are allowed to duplicate the page into their own workspace.

The settings that matter

Search engine indexing decides whether the page can turn up in Google, and it is not always on by default. Duplicate as template lets visitors copy the page, which is exactly what you want for a template and exactly what you do not want for a portfolio.

Widgets on a public page

They work for visitors the same as they do for you. Nobody needs a thePlus.so account to see them, and nobody needs a Notion account either. The widget is just a page loading inside a page.

Check it as a stranger

Test the link in a private window before you send it anywhere. Publishing feels finished and occasionally is not, and a logged in browser will cheerfully show you a page nobody else can open.

Once it is public, a counter is the only way to find out whether anyone is reading, because Notion will not tell you. It is on the shortlist in best Notion widgets.

Publishing beyond Notion

Notion's published pages are fine for a resource hub and limited for anything more: no custom domain on lower plans, little control over what goes in the head, and a URL that announces which tool built it. Wrappers exist to turn a Notion page into a proper site.

The other route is keeping content in Notion and the public face in WordPress, Google Sites or Framer. Widgets bridge that neatly, because the same link works on both sides and you edit it once.
