Add a Widget to Notion
Four steps, and only one of them happens inside Notion. You build the widget here and copy its link, then type /embed on an empty line in your Notion page, paste the link, and drag the edges to size it. The whole thing takes under a minute once you have done it once, and it works the same on every platform Notion runs on.
Build and copy
Make the widget in your dashboard and copy the link. It looks like https://theplus.so/embed/divider?id=NTQz.
Embed and paste
Put the cursor on an empty line and type /embed. Pick Embed from the menu that appears, paste the link, and confirm. Notion fetches the page and draws it in place.
Resize
Drag the bottom edge for height and the side handles for width. Notion stores the size per page, so the same widget can be tall on one page and short on another.
Paste the link on its own line. Inside a paragraph Notion turns it into a plain blue link and never offers the embed menu.
A published Notion page shows the widget to visitors exactly as you see it, and nobody needs an account to look at it. If the block stays blank, read widget not showing.
The same four steps elsewhere
Coda, WordPress, Google Sites, xTiles and Craft all take the same link. The command is named differently in each, embed block or iframe block or insert, but the flow is identical: copy the URL, find the embed command, paste, resize.
So the link you copied for a Notion page is not Notion specific and there is no second version to make. One widget, one link, as many surfaces as you keep.
If you plan to use the same widget on several pages, paste the link once into a scratch page and copy it from there. Digging the URL back out of the dashboard every time is the small friction that stops people from reusing widgets.
