Who is Michał Żołnieruk?

Michał Żołnieruk has been building exactly those apps for years, first Instant Note for Notion and then Fast Actions for Notion, both wired to Notion databases through official authorisation and both able to hold a note offline until the connection comes back.
On 29 December 2021 Michał Żołnieruk published a Medium tutorial titled "How to use Notion API from Typescript Azure Function", a walkthrough of pulling data out of the Twitter API and writing it into a Notion page, with the full code included. It ran in the Notion Galaxy publication. On the same Medium profile sit posts about Telegram bots, Xamarin.iOS animation and building a VR experience for an art exhibition, which is the shape of the developer who later turned his attention to Notion.
He works as a tech lead in Berlin on mobile and backend systems. In the speaker bio he wrote for a Notion meetup there, he describes himself as the founder of Instant Note for iOS and Android and says he helps companies design custom workflows and integrations using the Notion API. His newsletter, Michał Creates, carries the line "Do what you care about more efficiently with Notion. Free templates & early access to my iOS apps."
Three apps ship under his name on the App Store. Two of them, Instant Note for Notion and Fast Actions for Notion, exist because of Notion, and both address the same problem: how long it takes to get one small thing into a Notion database from a phone. The third, a packing list app called Backpacks, has nothing to do with any of it.
He arrived through the API, before he arrived through the apps
The Notion API tutorial came first. Written at the end of December 2021 and aimed at developers who already had an Azure Function to hand, it showed how to authenticate against Notion and push rows into a page, with the TypeScript printed in full. That is a small contribution with a long tail, because the people who find a code-complete tutorial are the people about to build something of their own. Everything he has released since has run through that same integration surface, and by the time he was writing his own event bio he was listing Notion API integration work for companies as part of what he does.
Instant Note for Notion, and four years of release notes
The app launched as Instant Notion and is now listed as Instant Note for Notion. It does one job: write a note, tag it, send it to a Notion database, and it works offline by holding the note in a local queue until the connection returns. Around that core he added a Lock Screen widget, a Home Screen widget, a Control Center button, an iOS share extension, a URL field, and support for Apple Shortcuts and Automations. The Pro tier opens up multiple databases, tag management inside the app, saved note history and a date picker. The version history reads like a slow steady grind: 2.0 in August 2023, Drafts in 2.2 that September, date field support in 2.5 in January 2024, iPad support in 2.7 in July 2024, iOS share support in 3.0 that November, the long awaited Android release on 4 April 2025, and Shortcuts, Automations and Control Center in 4.0. The US App Store listing shows 4.8 stars from 90 ratings.
A template for deciding what to build, and an evening teaching dashboards
On 29 March 2023 he released the Notion Product Ideas Hub, a template built around a point-based scoring system for ranking ideas against each other, covering everything from app features to future Notion templates. He described it to his newsletter as "a well tested system which I use for rating and prioritising my ideas", which is a more useful pitch than most template listings manage, because it says the thing was load-bearing for him before it was a product. He also teaches in person. At CIC Berlin he co-hosted the Notion Meetup: Dashboards & Shortcuts Workshop alongside Daniel Marcinkowski and Maria Ledentsova, and took the dashboards half himself with a session on building functional dashboards in Notion using buttons, database views, automations and embeds.
Fast Actions for Notion, March 2026
His most recent release went out on 24 March 2026 to iOS and Android at the same time. Fast Actions for Notion lets you define your own entry workflows, each with its own set of fields, for what the listing describes as "saving a quick idea, archiving a photo or logging expenses". It captures photos, text, dates, checkboxes and URLs into a Notion database, connects through official Notion OAuth, queues entries locally when there is no signal, and puts each action behind its own Home Screen widget. He opened it free with unlimited use while it was in public beta and asked newsletter subscribers to send him bugs and feature requests directly. The iOS build runs on iPhone, Mac and Apple Vision Pro, and is localised into Spanish, Japanese and Korean.
Why Michał Żołnieruk is on this list
He gave the Notion community working code and working tools. The 2021 Azure Function tutorial handed other developers a complete path into the Notion API at a point when few such walkthroughs existed. Instant Note and Fast Actions solved mobile capture for people who never intend to write a line of that code, using official authorisation and offline queues so nothing gets dropped. The Product Ideas Hub passed on his own prioritisation system, his newsletter documented every release in public, and in Berlin he stood up in front of a room and taught dashboards to whoever came.
