Who is Yudax?
Software engineer and former Notion Ambassador, Morocco. Known for NotionThemes, InstaPost, Butn, Momentum.

Yudax is Youssef, a self taught software engineer in Morocco who spent about three years building around Notion and was invited into the Notion Ambassador program in April 2022. The code lives in one public GitHub organization, NotionStuff. The browser extension and the deploy scripts date from 2021 and 2022 and are no longer maintained, so read or fork them, do not expect support. The templates are still live: a habit tracker at $25 on Gumroad, a free freelancer dashboard on the Notion template marketplace, and two pay what you want downloads. His day job has moved to AI and infrastructure work, so new Notion releases are unlikely.
The GitHub organization is called NotionStuff and it holds nine public repositories, every one of them about Notion. NotionThemes, a browser extension for restyling the app, has 275 stars. The tool that publishes Instagram posts out of a Notion database has 163. The workspace backup script has 40. The X handle attached to the organization is @_yudax.
Behind that handle is Youssef, who describes himself on his own site as a software engineer in Morocco, self taught, an alumnus of 42, with a first Hello World written in Pascal. He opened the organization in June 2021 and spent the following years filling it with software that existed because Notion had not shipped the feature yet: custom color schemes, scheduled Instagram posts, automatic workspace exports, guest invitations for private pages, a deploy hook you could fire from a Notion page. In April 2022 he posted that Notion had invited him into its Ambassador program.
The paid side is small and specific. Momentum, a habit tracker for Notion built around streaks and charts, sells for $25 on Gumroad and carries a five star average from six ratings. A freelancer dashboard for running client projects and generating invoices is free, listed both on his Gumroad store and on the Notion template marketplace as Freelancer dashboard. His recent public code has nothing to do with Notion, which makes the Notion shelf a closed body of work you can still read end to end.
He shipped an Instagram scheduler that ran on a Notion database
The clearest example of what Yudax was doing with Notion is InstaPost. You keep your posts in a Notion database, image and caption and publish time, and the tool reads that database and pushes them to Instagram on schedule. It handled single images, albums and text only posts, generating an image for the text ones. Deployment was a one click Heroku button in the README, which tells you roughly what year it is. He launched it on Product Hunt on 21 October 2021, pitched as a way to publish and schedule Instagram posts from Notion, and it collected 204 upvotes. The repository, notion-instagram, sits in the NotionStuff organization he had created that June and carries 163 stars and 24 forks.
A theme switcher you install by dragging a folder into your browser
NotionThemes is the most starred thing in the organization at 275 stars, MIT licensed, with a separate repository holding the CSS for the themes so other people could contribute their own. The README lists a Chrome Web Store link and a Firefox add-ons link, and behind those a manual route: download a zip for Chrome, Edge or Opera, or an xpi for Firefox, turn on developer mode, drag the folder in, pick a theme, refresh Notion. The Firefox listing has since gone dead. It went up on Product Hunt on 13 January 2022 and drew 83 upvotes, and the landing page at notionthemes.yudax.me still carries the original line about making your Notion pretty with custom themes. Butn came out of the same instinct, a generator for call to action buttons you could drop into a Notion page without writing HTML, free, 117 upvotes on Product Hunt in 2021.
Backups, invites, deploy hooks, and one template with a price on it
The rest of the organization reads as a list of gaps somebody kept hitting. notion-backups automates workspace exports. notionInvites handled guest invitations to private pages, and the script sold through Gumroad now announces its own deprecation in the product title. Notion-Build fires a deployment hook from inside Notion. notion-date-autofiller prefills dates in databases and calendars with no integration involved. There is an archived Vue renderer for Notion pages and a Nuxt blog template running on the official Notion API. Alongside the code he published templates. Momentum is the one that costs money, $25, described on its page as a habit tracker for building good habits and breaking bad ones, motivated by streaks and charts, rated five stars by six buyers. Notion for freelancers and a Notion compound interest calculator are pay what you want, which in practice means free. The freelancer template is the single entry on his Notion marketplace creator profile, filed under Freelance and Personal Productivity.
The recent commits are Cloudflare Workers and AI tooling
His current site puts the Notion period in the past tense: ambassador and builder for three years, over ten products, and now a software engineer at an AI startup. The public record agrees. His personal GitHub account has lately been occupied with a Cloudflare analytics explorer, a site for an AI product, and a fork of a Swift AI SDK. The newsletter he opened in May 2023 to write about product building and Notion has three posts in it, and the two after the welcome are about building a rate limiter with Cloudflare Workers and migrating Durable Objects between accounts. widgets.so, the domain behind the Widgets product he counts among the Notion work, currently shows a holding page saying the platform is being improved. The Gumroad store, the marketplace template and the GitHub organization are all still up.
Why Yudax is on this list
He built around Notion at a point when a lot of the obvious pieces were missing, and he did it with the source open. The theme extension, the Instagram publisher, the backup script, the invite automation and the deploy hook are all sitting on GitHub, several of them MIT licensed, so anyone in the Notion community who wanted to attempt something similar could start from working code. The templates are the smaller half of the contribution. NotionThemes has been forked 31 times and notion-instagram 24.
