Who is Modest Mitkus?
Founder of PathPages, formerly Notion Way. Known for building Notion Way into PathPages, and giving away the guide and course on how to create and sell Notion templates.
This page recognises Modest Mitkus for what they have contributed to the Notion community. It is written independently, it is not an endorsement, and it does not mean they use thePlus.so.

This page traces what Mitkus actually shipped: the Notion Way directory, the free templates, the paid kits, and the guide and course where he wrote down his pricing and validation steps. It cites the Product Hunt results and the dated posts behind the revenue claims, and flags which numbers are his own reporting. It does not review his templates or tell you whether the same playbook still works.
On 13 April 2022, a site called Notionway went up on Product Hunt under the tagline "Discover Notion templates" and finished the day in fifth place with 252 upvotes. It was a searchable directory of Notion templates, and the person behind it was Modest Mitkus. Two months earlier the front page had already been live, mixing his own paid kits at $43 apiece with free trackers and with templates submitted by other makers.
He got there by way of a UX design studio. On the Notion Way about page he described juggling projects until he felt like he was drowning, running through dozens of productivity and time management tools, and deleting each one a few days after installing it. Notion was the one that held. "Finally, there was a tool that was simple, flexible, and powerful enough to use for both my work and personal life," he wrote. "I could create all-in-one productivity systems I had always dreamed of but never had. So I did."
The systems turned into a catalogue and the catalogue turned into a business. On 31 December 2022 he posted that he had hit $10,000 a month from Notion templates. In May 2023 he put his Notion Second Brain on Product Hunt, where it took the number one spot for the day with 415 upvotes and later picked up a 2023 Golden Kitty runner-up nod for Bootstrapped and Small Teams Product of the Year. The shop is now called PathPages and says its templates have reached more than 120,000 customers.
The productivity apps he kept deleting
His first Notion templates were fixes for his own mess. The February 2022 catalogue reads like a list of things a stressed studio owner needs on a Sunday night: a Bookmark Manager, a Finances Tracker, a Book Tracker, a 30 day Habit Tracker, all free. The paid side was priced flat at $43 and aimed at people running something small, with a Social Media Kit, an Ecommerce Business Kit, a Small Business Kit and a Freelancer Pack. On his about page he later set out the three things he weighed when building one: "the design of the template, how easy it is to use, and the system itself."
The shop also shelved other people's work
Notion Way was built as a directory first. Its February 2022 front page listed a Course Planner by Nishant Ojha, a 2022 bullet journal from a maker called stories store and a resume template from Visual Techie alongside his own kits, sorted into categories such as Student, Finances and Freelance, with a weekly email that sent out one free template. The round-up blog he started then is still running on PathPages, and it still points readers at templates he did not make, including systems from other Notion creators, with an outbound link on each entry.
He wrote down how the money worked
In 2023 he started publishing the mechanics instead of hinting at them. The Notion Creator Guide went up on Gumroad free, and has since collected 275 ratings averaging 4.9. The Notion Creator Course followed: two hours, five modules, 34 lessons, walking from picking a niche through wireframing a template, making mockups, setting a price, listing on Gumroad and marketing it through Notion marketplaces, Product Hunt and email. It logged 1,409 sales before he unlisted it. The same method shows up in his posts, where he scores template ideas with RICE and tells people to ship a single page to test demand before building the full kit.
Notion Way became PathPages, then he went after SaaS
The rebrand had been coming for a while: the 2022 site already carried a "Pathpages" line in its footer, and by 2024 the notionway.com domain was pointing at pathpages.com. The shop now runs six premium systems, a $99 bundle and 20 free templates, with 12 more listed on the Notion Marketplace, five of them free. In January 2025 he posted that his digital product journey had started with Notion templates and that he was building his first SaaS. That became RankPill, an SEO publishing tool, followed by AdsRaw. PathPages sits third on his own list of projects, and the templates are still for sale.
Why Modest Mitkus is on this list
Two things. The free shelf: 20 Notion templates on PathPages and five more on the Notion Marketplace that anyone can duplicate without paying, plus a directory and a blog that have been listing other creators' templates since 2022. And the paper trail: the Notion Creator Guide and the Notion Creator Course put his pricing, validation and listing steps in front of 1,400 plus buyers at a point when most people selling well in the Notion community were keeping that quiet.
